Complete Medieval copper alloy lace tag, circa 1300-1500 AD. The find consists of a flattened conical chape formed from folded sheet copper alloy with an open-ended, edge-to-edge seam. A third of the way down the chape from the wider end there are corresponding circular rivet holes that have been pierced in each side of the chape. The tag has a dark brown patina and measures 23mm long.

Skellie record. Post Medieval copper alloy decorated lace tag dating to the 16th-17th century. This is a Margeson Type 2 (1993:22-3) being cylindrical in form, tapering slightly towards the tip, securing the lace along its 33mm length, with both edges folding inwards to grip the lace. Four pairs of parallel grooves divide the surface of the head into quarters, and a groove also extends around the base. A Roman copper-alloy bell shaped stud of Allason-Jones type 1. The solid-cast object has a circular-sectioned lower portion, the base of which is marked by a moulded rim. At the top, the object flares into a dish. A truncated-conical projection extends vertically upwards from the centre of this dish, with a circular depression at the centre of its otherwise flat upper surface. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age (c.400-c.200 BC) La Tène I brooch, missing its spring, pin and terminal of its foot as well as most of the catchplate. Overall, the brooch measures 35.1mm long, 11.9mm wide and 21.5mm thick. It weighs 4.74g. The bow has a high arch, is broadly D-shaped in section, measuring 5.1mm wide and 4.6mm thick. It tapers in width and thickness towards the spring and the foot. At the bottom of the bow (3.2mm wide and 2.8mm thick), the brooch bends sharply downwards to form the foot. The broken catchplate projects out of the right side of the foot.

A copper alloy early medieval hooked tag dating to the period c. AD 700 - 1066. The hooked tag is broaadly triangular in plan and can be categorised as under Read's Class A Type 1. The tag is triangular in plan and features two circular rivet holes of unequal size along it's top edge. It is plain and undecorated on both surfaces. The plate tapers down into a rearward facing hook. The tag measures 23.29mm in length, 10.39mm maximum width, 0.77mm minimum width, is 0.84mm thick and weighs 0.62g. Similar examples are illustrated in Read, B, 2008, pp. 7 - 8.

A copper alloy early medieval or medieval hooked tag dating to the period c. AD 800 - 1300. The hooked tag is broaadly triangular in plan and can be categorised as a Class A Type 1, featuring three rivet holes running along it's top edge, the two outermost both feature old breakages. The top edge is slightly scalloped, however, there is no other decoration visible on either surface. As the tag tapers towards the hook it thicknes slightly and terminates in a hook bent at a forty-five degree angle to the plate. The tag is slightly bent out of shape.
