A worn medieval English jetton, probably a sterling bust type of the 13th to mid-14th century AD. The reverse has a long cross with a pellet in each quarter, in imitation of the silver coinage of the day. The obverse is too worn to make out any design but it is probably a bust of the King, being Edward I - Edward III. These sterling bust jettons date from c. AD 1280-1345.
