A copper alloy nummus of Constantine I, (AD 307-337), dating to AD 322-3 (Reece Period 16), Reverse: SARMATIA DEVICTA; Victory advancing right, holding palm-branch and trophy, spurning captive. Mint of Arles RIC VII, p. 262, no. 257. Note there is a dot after CONSTAN in obverse legend. Probably an error. It might be that the die-engraver was about to cut another letter, but realised it needed to be on the right side of the head.
