Copper alloy clasp retaining leather. Folding clasp comprising a rectangular frame with narrowed strap bar, a rotating sheet metal closure of thickness 0.7mm with incised paired saltire decoration on its diasplay face, cf. Whitehead 1996 no. 234. A round ended sheet metal plate of thickness 0.7mm is wrapped around the strap bar and secured at its end by a single copper alloy river of end diameter 1.9mm and length 3.3mm, and fragments of mineral preserved leather are trapped between its leaves. Lead spindle whorl. Cast sub-spherical or globular whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 8.8mm. Gouged on one side with nicks on either side of the aperture, and subsequently patinated overall. The form resembles that of medieval whorls of the 13th to 14th centuries, and rarely appears in lead. The mass would (just) qualify this as a whorl for spinning a yarn. The nicks and abrasion might indicate reuse as a line weight, for which these might have served as tying notches. A complete but worn large flat circular chunky lead alloy probable seal. The reverse of the seal is plain and the front carries an indecipherable inscription around the perimeter which starts with an initial cross and a central design which consists of a cross design with a fleur de lys in each angle. The centre of this cross may have formed the attachment point for this seal to an item such as a document and this possible attachment point is also visible on the reverse. This seal has been dated broadly to the later Medieval period as c.1200-1500.

Copper alloy vessel fragment. Cast and slightly tapered cauldron leg of sub-triangular section with a longitudinal ridge along its outer face. Worn at its foot and broken below its junction with the body of the vessel. The external faces are sooted, showing this vessel was used on a hearth. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1350.

A fragment of a copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-c.1450) double loop sub-oval buckle with separate strap and pin bars, missing its plate and its pin and part of the frame. Overall, the buckle measures 11.4mm long, 17.5mm wide and 2.6mm thick. It weighs 1.31g. The main loop is oval and has a notch for the pin on the pin bar. The strap loop is rectangular and the strap loop is narrowed and offset.

A complete but damaged copper alloy, beehive type thimble, dating from the late Medieval to early Post-Medieval period, AD c.1400-1600. It is a hollowed dome shape with a spiral of punched indentations laid out in a right-hand spiral which extend over the top of the thimble. The thimble is 21.86mm high and weighs 5.1g.

It is a flattened D-shape in section with a flat back and rounded front face. The front face is decorated with twelve oval fields defined by rectangular grooves and a rectangular pin constriction. The back face is undecorated.
This brooch measures 25.07mm in diameter, 2.30mm in thickness, 2.24g in weight.

A fragment of a copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-c.1450) single loop oval framed buckle with an integral forked spacer, missing its plate, its pin, most of its frame and one of the arms of its spacer. Overall, the fragment measures 37.6mm long, 9.6mm wide and 3.0mm thick. It weighs 1.67g. The frame is triangular in section, with sloping front outside edges. A complete copper-alloy triangular strap end of Medieval date.
The plate is flat. At the terminal end is a rectangular copper-alloy bar-mount. This is D-shaped in section and attached to the plate with a separate copper-alloy circular rivet with a flattened round head. Parallel to this at the attachment end is a second separate copper-alloy circular rivet with a flattened round head. Attached to both rivets are separate copper-alloy roves, which are circular and flat.

A copper alloy harness pendant dating to c14th century. The pendant is circular in plan with a offset perforated loop extending perpendicularly from the top, the top of the loop is missing. The back of the pendant is smooth and slightly concave. The front of the pendant is decorated with a shield with three chevrons decorated with red (gules) enamel.
The harness pendant 25.15mm in length, 18.8mm wide and weighs 4.39 grams.

The frame is D-shaped in section with a slightly expanded outer edge with a central rectangular pin groove. The bar is central, narrowed and trapezoidal in section with triangular lobes at the junctions of the bar and frame. There are traces of white metal coating on all faces.
This buckle measures 24.15mm in length, 18.17mm in width, 2.65mm in thickness, 3.08g in weight.

Overall, the plate measures 24.3mm long, 7.8mm wide and 3.1mm thick. It weighs 0.93g. The plate is a rectangular 0.9mm thick strip of copper alloy with chamfered edges. It has a rivet hole at the opposite end to the frame and an incomplete piercing for the pin at the frame end. A complete cast copper alloy post-medieval harness pendant. It is circular in form with a fleur de lys in the centre. The fleur de lys is attached to the outer circle at the top and sides, and at the bottom is attached via a pair of bifurcating stems. Gaps are left, creating an openwork design. The fleur de lys has some decoration, with grooves where the top leaf joins the side leaves and where the stems join the main fleur. It has a flat, rectangular frame with an offset and narrowed bar. The outer edge is circular in section and narrowed to accommodate the folding end with a transverse ridge at either end.
This clasp frame measures 15.57mm in length, 13.31mm in width, 2.52mm in thickness, 1.06g in weight.

The bow is oval with two internally projecting spikes. It measures 15.95mm in external length, 13.12mm in external width and 11.36mm in internal length, 5.00mm in internal width, 2.44mm in length at the spikes.
This key measures 2.26mm in thickness, 1.39g in weight.
