A copper alloy Roman headstud brooch dating from AD 75 - 200. It has tubular wings with a slot for the hinged pin. The pin and axis bar are missing. There is a vertical ridge on the head; a pseudo forward hook. The oval headstud is integral and has a hollow centre, possibly once enamelled. The lower bow tapers to a point and the foot is missing. The brooch is very corroded with a light green patina. It is 25.35mm long, 16.3mm wide and 11.63mm thick. 4.13g.

A copper alloy attachment lug from a late medieval chafing dish handle, dating from about AD 1400-1600. It is rectangular in section and consists of an oval loop with an off-centre circular perforation which has worn through on one edge. The stem is waisted. In the centre of the base of the lower part are the remains of a short, integral rivet. The lug has a grey green patina. It is 30.4mm long, 14.54mm wide and 8.37mm thick. 12.67g. Compare LIN-0CF4AF.

A large wrought iron nail of unknown date. It is rectnangular in section, tapering to a wide point. The head is slightly convex and seems to have been T shaped, but with the arms folded down flat against the shaft of the nail. The folds in the metal are clearly visible. It is 170mm long, 14mm wide and 10mm thick. 59.9g.

A copper alloy Roman knee brooch dating from about AD 150 - 250. It has a tubular head which is half open and contains the corroded remains of an iron spring. The bow is rectangular in section and has a raised ridge across each end of the upper bow. There is also a rideg across the reverse of the bow at the top of the lower bow; this is recurving, but the lower end and the foot are missing. The brooch has traces of silvering. The brooch is very similar to number 1227 on page 335 of Hattatt's Visual Catalogue. It is 29.46mm long, 16.14mm wide and 10.85mm thick. 6.53g.

Squashed and split copper alloy hand-drilled or punched thimble. Sides taper inwards from an originally circular (now ovalled) open base to a slightly flattened but smoothy curving enclosed crown. The top has a central tonsure with a spiral of shallow hand punched or drilled circular pits that continue over the top and down the sides to the base. There is a narrow unpunched circumferential band at the base. The form suggests the thimble is late Medieval and dates from circa 15th century AD. The thimble is 16.3 mm tall, 1.2mm thick and weighs 3.47g.

Copper alloy rectangular double loop trapezoidal buckle, complete with pin. The buckle frame is sub-square in cross section with a bevelled top outside corner. The strap bar is slightly extended at either end beyond the frame into a small triangular shaped knop. Similar buckles are shown in Whitehead Buckles (1250-1800) p82; Nos.506-509; which are assigned a circa 1570-1700 date range. The buckle is 25mm long, 20mm wide and weighs 3.08g.

Copper alloy single loop Medieval buckle complete with plate and pin.The buckle is C-shaped in plan with a sub-oval cross-section and a small central nick on the upper face of the outer loop to act as a pin rest. The narrow strap bar is very slightly offset. The buckle plate is formed from a single piece of copper alloy sheet that is wrapped back and around the buckle strap bar. Cut outs at the outside and centre of the fold accommodate the buckle frame and pin respectively. A complete possible Roman vessel lead repair pot mend (AD 43-409). It consists of two integral sub-oval 'plugs' which enclosed pottery (now missing). One plug measures 12.7 x 8.6mm and the other plug measures 11.9 x 10.0mm. Due to the absence of any ceramic material it is difficult to ascertain the date of the object. However, a tentative Roman date is offered considering other finds made in the vicinity. This pot mend has a buff patina. Length: 12.7m; width: 10.0mm; thickness: 7.4mm. Weight: 3.68g.

The token has raised designs on both sides: a pellet within a circle on one side and an indeterminate design on the other side. This token is worn and has a buff patina. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy oval buckle (c. 1660-c. 1720). The terminal of the chape is missing. The undecorated frame is oval in plan, convex at the front and largely concave at the rear.
