A complete flint scraper of possible Neolithic date.
This tool, made on a primary blade, is sub-rectangular in plan and 'D'-shaped in cross-section.
The convex dorsal face is mainly covered with coarse buff cortex and its distal end has been retouched with short, abrupt and semi-abrupt, parallel removals. There is a notch on the left side (as viewed). The ventral face is largely flat and has a shiny dark grey surface with creamy mottling. It has a bulb of percussion and a percussion scar but has no ripples.
There is no gloss or visible wear and no indication of re-use.
