An incomplete and corroded Medieval cast copper-alloy harness mount (1200-1400).
This pendant is cruciform (cross-shaped) in plan, convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each short arm terminates with a lobe. Integral with the upper lobe is a sub-rectangular suspension loop with a circular perforation. The suspension loop is turned through 90° to the plane of the pendant. At the centre of the cross, a circular hole has a diameter of 2.9mm.
This pendant is corroded and in poor condition. It has small flecks of gilding at the front only.

A complete enamelled copper-alloy heraldic horse-harness pendant of medieval date (14th century AD).
The pendant is of the 'heater'-shaped shield type (a flat top, with sides that curve steeply to a point). The upper edge has an integrally cast suspension loop, which is set at right angles to the pendant. It is angled forwards, with an oval pierced loop (internal diameter 2.3 mm).

A gilt-copper-alloy horse harness pendant, dating from the Medieval period.
A perforated right-angled loop surmounts the oval pendant, the upper surface of which has a zoomorphic design. The surrounding fields are recessed, creating the impression that the design is raised, whereas it is actually level with the rim.
