An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy strap fitting for a sword belt (1600-1700). This fitting is in the form of a hooked mount. However, the hook is missing due to a break. Prior to being broken, the maximum width would have been at the top where it was tri-lobed. It has a waist below and beyond the waist the sides flare and then taper to the transverse break. Post Medieval (mid 16th to 17th centuries) strap mount: The copper alloy strap mount is a sub drop in plan with a a small integral knop at the upper edge and an inverted lis at the lower edge. The reverse is undecorated and has two integral studs which are square in section and taper to a point. Both studs are bent over towards each other. The surface of the mount has a mid grey coloured surface. It measures 23.18mm long, 8.44mm wide and 6.31mm thick, weighing 1.5g. Medieval cast copper alloy bar mount. The mount is rectangular in plan, D-shaped in section with a shallowly convex front, flat back and bevelled ends. There are separate copper alloy rivets, one near each end. The rivets are circular in section, flush with the mount on the front and project slightly from the back. Medieval cast copper alloy strap slide. The frame is pentagonal with a convex V shaped top bar with a rounded point in the centre. One side bar has been bent inwards and one pushed out at an angle. All the sides of the frame are rectangular in cross section but the top and bottom bars are slightly thicker. There is an integral rectangular sectioned rivet projecting outwards 3.7mm from the centre of the base, the end of which is not flattened. The object is flat, square in form and undecorated. It has one large central circular perforation, with single separately cast copper-alloy rivets at each corner of the attachment end.
