A cast copper alloy palstave adze dating from the Middle Bronze Age, that is c. 1500-1150BC. The body of the adze is long and slender and shaped like a palstave with its cutting edge twisted at 90 degrees. It is complete and in good condition with only some patches of active corrosion. The blade and butt end are intact and most of the original dark olive green patina survives. A fragment of a spear of late middle to early late Bronze Age date, c1300 - 1000BC. The fragment comes from near the tip; the tip itself is missing and this appears to be a recent break. Both blades remain sharp and the fragment is in very good condition. The section through the broken socket shows an off-centre casting which is very thin on one side..
