A lithic impliment of uncertain function but probably from the Neolithic to Bronze age period. Circa 4000-1600 BC. The flint is sub-conical in shape, triangular in profile and has numerous flake removals from different angles. The distal end has a series of parallel scars (retouch). The proximinal end has no clear evidence of bulb of percussion and flake removal extends into and probably beyond the butt. This seems to have broken at this point in antiquity. A copper-alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 5.b4, flat wing ends type, Western Group), dated AD 70-120. The brooch is of cast construction with pierced end plates on the wings to secure the axis bar of the spring, and a rearward facing hook (missing) to retain the cord. The bow has a short medium ridge with a single oblique rib on either side. The wings have a single ribbed moulding. The spring with integral pin, foot and catchplate are missing. The brooch has a olive green patina. Length of brooch: 22.29 mm. Width at wings: 24.40 mm

A clipped medieval silver halfgroat of Edward III (1327-1377). Fourth coinage, pre-Treaty period, Class D (North 1154) dating to 1352-1353. Mint of London. North (1975, 38). This coin measures 22mm in diameter and weighs 2.1g. It has suffered a very small circumferential loss, as well as having been clipped.
