Post Medieval (late 16th to 17th centuries) double-looped buckle frame: The frame is incomplete, only one loop is complete, and this is D shape with two knops, one on each corner of the outer edge of the frame. The strap bar is narrowed, trapezoidal in section, and terminates with moulded decoration. Only a fragment of the second loop remains, and these breaks are quite recent. In profile the frame has a wide V which may be due to damage, rather than intention. The pin is missing.
The surface of the frame has a shiny dark greeny grey patina, with some abrasion. The buckle measures…

A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy furniture fitting in the form of a drop handle from a drawer pull (c. 1660-c. 1710).
The object is sub-trapezoidal in shape, with a constriction below a sub-square suspension loop. The loop is recessed with a rectangular perforation. At the opposite end, the handle curls rearwards and projects outwards to each side. The central field below the constriction has a raised triangular moulding.
Height: 42.7mm; width at top: 13.4mm; width at base: 28.5mm; maximum thickness at centre: 2.2mm. Weight: 6.11g.

Reverse; central rose surrounded by alternate rose and lis arranged centrifugally, fictitious legend but starting in a cross pattee and ending in the date 1577.
