In plan, the jews harp consists of a sub circular head and two tapering arms, both with the characteristic lozenge-shaped cross section. The arms are complete. The rabbet is located at the apex of the head, but is missing the iron tongue, which would have been used to sound the insrtument. This jews harps date to between c. AD 1400 and 1700. A cast copper alloy dress fastener or hooked tag of early-medieval date. The fastener takes the form of a sub-circular plate with two holes for attachement to the garment, and a thin shank with hooked end projecting from the opposing side. In this example the two attachment holes are incomplete but the rest of the fastener is intact. There is the remains of possible decoration on the front of the plate however it is too faint to be able to discern.
