A cast lead spindle whorl of Medieval date. It is a circular weight with a central circular hole. There is alternating decoration of lines and pellets on both sides The photograph was not taken by the recorder. Accurate measurements are not available due to the angle of the picture.

A complete lead or lead suspension weight of probable Medieval date (AD 1100-1500). The weight is conical in shape with circular cross section and a tapering, circular central perforation extending from the top to the bottom of the weight. The weight is 23.64mm tall, diameter of base 25.64mm at the base and the perforation has a maximum diameter of 10.49mm. It weighs 61.00g. A complete Medieval lead personal seal matrix of 13th-century date. The matrix is circular and flat. On the front there is a stylised eight point star in the centre surrounded by a crudely engraved legend that is not deep enough to create a prominent impression. It appears to read + S' IOh'IS FIL' h - WISIE (Seal of John son of Hawise or Helwise). Many letters are not clear, but the final E is very obvious.
