Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 5, flat wing ends type, Western Group), cf. Mackreth 2011, 5.b4.Plate 50. It has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings which hold the spring support bar, the spring is made from eight curls, the pin is missing. There is a crest at the top of the head, the rear of which is pierced and holds the spring external cord. A band with a narrow wise decorate either wing. A recessed line runs down either side of the bow. The lower part of the bow is missing resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 80-120AD.

A complete copper alloy Medieval annular brooch dating from the 13th or 14th Century. The brooch frame is of twisted round cable pattern on both surfaced. The copper alloy pin sits within an pin constriction in the frame. The pin is of a different colour copper alloy and tapers sharp point. For similar examples see Egan and Pritchard (1991: 249; 1310-11) The brooch is 15.6mm in diameter, 1.5mm wide, 1.3mm thick and weighs 0.63 grams.

Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 2.b2, flat wing ends, Plate 45). Rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that would have held the pin axis bar (the right wing is truncated). Three sets of double vertical bands decorate the front of the wings, a double recessed band runs down the front of the head and most of the bow. The catch plate on the reverse is truncated. The bow of the is distorted and bent back on itself. Date A.D. 50-60.

A cast copper-alloy bridle bit link of Early Medieval date. It has a lozenge shaped terminal at one end which is oval internally and sub-rectangular in section. It has a knob on three of the corners. The fourth corner tapers into a D-section connecting arm with a rounded moulding. Beyond this moulding the arm flares into a circular terminal which is circular internally at the other end which is also sub-rectangular in section.

An incomplete cast copper alloy openwork harness fitting, a probable cheek piece from a bridle fitting of the late Early-medieval period (11th century AD). The object is Anglo-Scandinavian in design and is a fragment of a larger fitting. This is likely to be one half of the cheek piece, the other side of the plate was probably symmetrical with a central hole and a projecting arm for the attachment to the leather harness strap (Williams 2007:2). A worn copper-alloy Roman late third or fourth century strip bracelet fragment. This fragment is rectangular in shape. It has a flattened D-shaped section with a flat back face. It is too worn to ascertain what, if any decoration was present. This bracelet measures 37.72mm in length, 5.80mm in width, 1.66mm in thickness, 1.85g in weight.

An incomplete cut sheet copper alloy probable Medieval to Post Medieval (1400-1600) probable book clasp, missing one terminal and with damage to the other terminal. It appears to have no decoration. The object is an elongated diamond-shape 13.65mm wide and 1.09mm thick, with a jagged but worn break to one of the elongated ends. At the opposite end a collar 2.83mm wide and 14.66mm in length flanks the expanded terminal, 11.60mm wide at the collar and 51.08mm wide at its worn crenellated edge. A cast copper-alloy book fitting of Medieval date. It is rectangular in shape and flat. At one end it is recessed to form a hook and at the other it flares into a trilobate design. There is a central circular hole at the flared end for a seperately cast rivet which is missing due to old breaks. The front face is decorated with three rings around the rivet hole and two ribs with five dots and two quadrilobed shapes between.

A cast copper-alloy clapper bell of Medieval or Post-medieval date. It is a cone shape and has an integrally cast semi-circular loop on the top which is pierced by a circular hole. There are a series of triangular holes around the top edge. The clapper is present but is no longer attached due to old breaks. A copper-alloy fragment from a possible awl of Bronze Age date. It is broad and sub square in section. This awl measures 26.11mm in length, 4.38mm in width, 3.84mm in thickness, 2.25g in weight. There are similar examples from Suffolk (Pendleton, 1999, fig. 42, no. 143) (Rowlands, 1976, no. 1178).
