A complete copper alloy Medieval annular brooch dating from the 13th or 14th Century. The brooch frame is of twisted round cable pattern on both surfaced. The copper alloy pin sits within an pin constriction in the frame. The pin is of a different colour copper alloy and tapers sharp point. For similar examples see Egan and Pritchard (1991: 249; 1310-11)
The brooch is 15.6mm in diameter, 1.5mm wide, 1.3mm thick and weighs 0.63 grams.

An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy prick spur (c. 1250-c. 1350).The goad, neck and part of each of the sides have survived. The sides are sub-oval in cross-section and the neck is lozenge shaped in cross-section. The goad is a square-based pyramid shape. The spur is 26.3mm long, 11mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 19.5 grams.
A similar spur has been published: Ellis 1995: 133, fig. 90, ref: 321, in Clarke (eds.) and dated 1250-1350.
There are similar prick spurs illustrated in Prick Spurs 700-1700 (Ellis 2002. Finds Research Group).
