An incomplete and folded Medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at Canterbury. Class 3b, 1280 (North 1991: 28, ref: 1017).
Obverse: EDWR'ANGL' DNS hYB (normal Ns); Crowned bust facing with a trifoliate crown and curved drapery.
Reverse. CIVI/TAS/CAN/TOR (normal Ns); Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 19.1mm. Weight: 1.29g. DA=12:7.
