An incomplete and bent copper-alloy Late Iron Age to early Roman Colchester bow brooch. It is missing the majority of the hook, the spring and pin due to old breaks, now worn. The wings are rectangular, short and flat. Their front face is decorated with two transverse grooves. They are separated at their centre by an integrally cast rectangular hook. An incomplete flat, circular lead personal seal matrix of Medieval date. It is missing part of the outer edge due to old breaks, now worn. On the front face is a central die depicting a flower with a central pellet and eight surrounding petals. This is surrounded by a legend that reads +S'WAL'U?B'I. On the back face is a central unpierced rectangular lug, with the remains of a casting seam to either side. This seal matrix measures 22.23mm in diameter, 3.63mm in thickness, 10.11g in weight.

A fragment of a copper alloy early-medieval (AD c.800-c.900) mount, broken along its end edges and is damaged along one of its long edges. Overall, it measures 20.4mm long, 16.3mm wide and 1.5mm thick. It weighs 1.73g. The two unbroken edges are parallel suggesting that the mount was broadly rectangular. The front face has groved decoration consisting of a ladder patterned border along one edge and curving shapes (possibly zoomorphic or floral) in the middle. This decoration is reminiscent of the Trewiddle Style used on Thomas Class A, Type 1 strap-ends which date to the 9th century.
