Sheet copper alloy handle mount. This is sub-triangular shaped and made from two sheets of copper alloy that have been riveted together via four rivets, one in each corner. The bottom sheet is flat, but the upper sheet has been bent to form a concave rectangular ridge that runs the length of the plate (this has now been squished flat). This object was fitted onto the bowl of a cooking implement such as a ladle or skimmer with a handle inserted into the aperture, similar examples have been excavated in London

A Medieval copper alloy buckle with an integral plate, dating from about AD 1200 - 1450. The pin is missing. The buckle frame is rectangular in shape. The plate has a rectangular area near the frame with a circular hole through it where the pin would have been attached. The rest of the plate is narrower and oval. Two small circular perforations show where rivets may have attached it to the leather of the belt. Part of one rivet survives; it is copper alloy. The oval part of the plate is decorated with three longitudinal grooves creating four raised ridges. This decoration continues…

A modified (pierced and gilded) post-medieval silver groat of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), mint: Tower (London), initial mark: lis (North 1986) dating to 1558-60. Ref: North 1991. The coin has been gilded and been pierced near the edge at 6 o'clock on the obverse, and it is probable that the modified coin was used as a pendant. The sharp condition of the coin suggests that this adaptation does not date very long after the striking of the coin, probably in the 1560s. Weight 2.1g.
