It is formed from a single flat sheet of copper-alloy folded widthways at the base to create a strap end with rectangular plates of equal length. At the base of the plate is a large separate copper-alloy rivet with a circular shank and globular head. The attachment end contains two separate copper-alloy circular rivets with flattened round heads. An incomplete copper-alloy arm or bar from a locking buckle of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is missing the frame due to old breaks, now worn. It is U-shaped and hexagonal in section. It narrows towards the terminal where there is a knop decorated with deep diagonal grooves radiating from its centre. All faces display coarse filing marks from finishing. This buckle arm measures 34.44mm in length, 9.15mm in width, 2.64mm in thickness, 2.54g in weight. There is a similar example from Norwich (Margeson, 1993, 26, no. 139) and London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, no. 445).

A complete and worn copper-alloy oval buckle frame with offset and narrowed bar of Medieval date, Meols Type 10. It is D-shaped in section with an expanded outer edge with globular lobes at the top and bottom. There is a central pin groove with a transverse groove to either side. The copper-alloy pin is still present. It tapers to a point and has an open loop. This buckle measures 24.81mm in length, 18.57mm in width, 3.32mm in thickness, 3.06g in weight. There is a similar example from London (Egan and Prichard, 1991, p. 73, no. 299).
