A copper alloy silver-plated contemporary copy of a radiate of Philip I dating to AD 244-249 (Reece Period 12). Reverse unclear, but possibly [VIRTVS AVG], Virtus standing left hodling branch and spear. Prototype Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 74, cf. no. 52. Much of the silver plate has worn away leaving a dark reddish brown patina. Uncertain mint.
