An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle, dating between AD 1600 and AD 1700. The frame is rectangular in shape with an integral strap bar, which has an old break. The pin is missing. The inner edges of the frame and the edges of the strap bar are bevelled from the front side, the reverse side of the frame is plain and undecorated. The frame front bears a moulded scroll design, with large ovoid knops at each corner, lobed protrusions at each end of the strap bar (one is missing), and a pointed knop at each end of the frame.
