Copper alloy brooch. Cast crossbow brooch, Mackreth type CR 3.1b, cf. Keller Type 1 dated to 290-310 in Bavaria. Cast hinged bow brooch with two integrally cast onion shaped knops at the ends of its arms and a larger knop on top of the wings which retain the stub of a hinged pin in a closed cylinder with rust staining around it. These meet the bow at mouldings which go all around and with additional stop mouldings to the front only for the side arms. Copper alloy possible buckle fragment. Cast fragment of the edge and corner of a rectangular buckle frame bearing decoration on its display face comprising a series of tiny juxtaposed discs - comparable with but distinct from ring-and-dot - along a central ridge, flanked by a ridge on either side bearing lines of smaller close-spaced pellets, with vertical ridges forming a series of square compartments between the central and outer ridges.
