A post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1570-c. 1700). Frame only survives. This buckle is convex at the front and flat at the rear. It is rectangular in plan, has rounded corners and each loop is similar and sub-rectangular. Internal and external frame edges are rounded. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear. Viewing the buckle from the side, each loop rises, from the centre to the outer edges from the horizontal plane. Medieval cast copper alloy strap slider, c.1150-1400 AD. The slider consists of a single, trapezoidal loop with a pair of opposed internal triangular projections about a quarter of the way up the sides of the frame. The frame is rectangular in section. Uneven diagonally opposing wear within the frame suggests a long period of use. Egan and Pritchard Dress Accessories 1150-1450 (1991: 234) illustrate a number of examples, including ref. 1258, which is very similar and they assign to a late 12th to late 14th century date. An incomplete copper alloy Roman trumpet headed brooch dating to AD 75-175. The pin is missing and the foot of the brooch is missing as well as the loop at the top. At the top of the brooch, there is a semi-circular trumpet top with a line before the bow curves forward. At the middle of the bow, there are horizontal lines of decoration. An incomplete badly twisted copper alloy Roman brooch probably Hod Hill dating to AD 43-75. The pin is missing and the brooch is bent. At the top of the brooch the top curls forward to form the attachment for the pin. The remnants of the catchplate extends out from the lower part of the bow.

A Roman ceramic rim fragment of an unclassified Grey Ware vessel (c. AD 43-409). The vessel has a reeded rim and the surface is grey with a red core. The breaks are old. It is tempered with fine sand and quartz. When complete the outer diameter of the rim would have been about 13.0cm Height: 25.6mm; width: 55.0mm; thickness at rim: 12.4mm. Weight: 21.99g.

A Roman ceramic rim fragment of an unclassified Vectis Ware vessel (AD 43-409). Tomalin 1987: 30-40. The fabric is grey and abraded with old breaks. Height: 49.2mm; width: 48.4mm; thickness: 8.1mm. Weight: 29.63g. Vectis ware is hand-made, well finished and relatively hard, being barely scratched with the fingernail. Its internal and external surface is partly reddish-yellow (Munsell Color 5YR 6/6), which is the colour yielded by a characteristic oxidised crust which is usually weakly visible due to a more general darkening of the final surface burnishing. Incomplete copper alloy trapezoidal buckle which is post Medieval in date (AD 1660 to AD 1720). The buckle is trapezoidal in plan, convex when viewed from above and is missing its chape and pin. The frame is thickened and drilled at the mid point of the longer sides, probably for a separate iron spindle which is now missing. The buckle exhibits elaborate moulding with 2 pairs of raised lines on the top face, either side and parallel to the spindle holes as well as moulded pin rests set centrally on the shorter sides of the frame. A fragment of a Roman disc brooch with peripheral lugs (c. AD 100-200). This brooch consists of terminal lug, catch-plate and a small portion of the plate. The lug, forming a cell, contains reddish brown decayed material that appears to be glass or enamel. The catch-plate is trapezoidal in side view and the curled-over part that secured the tip of the pin is complete. The portion of plate is flat at the front and has bevelled edges. This brooch fragment is drab brown and the break at the top is old. Height: 14.0mm; width: 9.7mm; thickness: 11.1mm. Weight: 1.63g.
