A flint core probably dating to the late Mesolithic period, (7000-4001BC) The object is sub-triangular in plan 'crescent-shaped' in cross-section. It has a large striking platform measuring 9.82mm in width and 16.02mm in length. The core is conical with one platform and parallel striking narrow blades. The striking platform has sub-parallel abrupt dressing on each edge. A minimum of six blades have been removed from the dorsal face of the core. The ventral face is smooth and concave. The core is mid-brown in colour.
