An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch dating to AD 43-100. The pin, the catchplate and lower part of the bow are missing. At the top of the brooch, there are two arms extending out to form the T bar for the pin. The bow curves forward from the centre of the T bar and narrows towards the bottom. An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular buckle pin of probable Roman date. It is missing part of the attachment loops, due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat, undecorated and tapers towards the terminal. At the attachment end is the remains of two circular attachment loops. On both faces between the attachment loops is evidence of wear.
This buckle pin measures 23.54mm in length, 5.73mm in width, 1.55mm in thickness, 1.19g in weight.

An incomplete, early Roman copper-alloy brooch. The brooch appears to be a varient of a spring dolphin or bow and fantail brooch. The wings are semi-cylindrical and are decorated with a narrow rib at each end. In the centre at the back is an incomplete hook. A comma-shaped bow arches from the wings, and this flares onto a lozenge-shaped panel . The sides of the panel are curved, and terminate with a collared bulbous knop on either side. The rib of the bow continues down the centre of the plate. The foot is missing.

A cast copper-alloy probable top knob from a cruciform brooch of Anglo-Saxon/Early-Medieval date.
It is half-round and D-shaped in section with a flat back and domed front face. The terminal end is rounded with a slightly flattened top. There is a transverse groove at the edge of a deep moulded waist. On the opposite side of the waist is a raised collar with a transverse groove on the front face. At the base of the knob are the remains of flat head plate before terminating in old breaks.

A copper alloy strap end of Medieval date. It is formed from two plates and a sheet spacer occupying half the length. The closed end of the strap end terminates in a rounded knop; this knop is attached to the spacer, the two plates are attached to the spacer by a circular rivet. The opposite end of the strap end terminates in an old break which has removed half a circular rivet hole which is now empty. The plates do not appear to be decorated. Strap ends of similar construction in Egan and Pritchard suggest a date of AD 1270 - 1400.
L x 40.3mm, W x 10.4mm, Th x 4.1mm, 6.67 grams.

A copper alloy Iron Age strip bow brooch dating to AD 25-75. The pin of the brooch is missing. The top of the bow curls back to form a bar at the top for the pin. The front of the bow is straight and ends squarely at the bottom (a fragment if missing from the bottom edge). The bow is decorated with two double lines which narrow towards the bottom and between each of the double lines there is a row of dots. The catchplate extends back from the loop part of the bow. Incomplete late Victorian copper alloy dress lifter. Dress lifters were used to prevent long dresses from trailing in the mud by hoisting the skirt up. A chain attachment to the item would allow the wearer to lift her skirts up and down without having to bend. This example is in the form of a horseshoe with a screw-thread clamp and is possibly an example of Fyfe's ABC Patent 1876 Horse Shoe Skirt Lifter.

A Roman (1st to 4th centuries) decorative mount/stud: The copper alloy stud has a curcular sectioned bulbous head, with an integral knop at the apex. The base is slightly flattened and has a slight collar. Protruding from the centre of the base there is an integral, square sectioned stud which tapers to a blunt broken terminal. The surface of the stud has a well developed mid grey/green patina. The stud measures 32.32mm long, and the head is 14.69mm wide. It weighs 14g.
