A silver Roman possibly Republican denarius of an uncertain issuer dating to the period 217-27 BC (Reece Period 1). Uncertain reverse type depicting a seated figure left. Uncertain mint. This coin has been 'hammered out' (pers. comm. Sam Moorhead 27/06/2014) and is now broadly triangular in shape.

Cast plate with a rectangular loop behind; the edges of the rectangular plate are deeply indented with four lunate hollows to produce a narrow cruciform figure with the side arm ends bearing deep triangular nicks. The ends of the top and bottom arms are billeted or diagonally hatched. There is a silvery cast to the object which may indicate either high lead or tin content in the alloy or plating. A copper-alloy Roman late third or fourth century bracelet fragment. This fragment is flat and rectangular in shape. The front face is decorated with a ring and dot motif which leads to a series of transverse grooves before terminating in old breaks. The back face is undecorated. This bracelet measures 12.44mm in length, 6.20mm in width, 1.32mm in thickness, 0.46g in weight. There is a similar example of ring and dot motif recorded on the PAS database (SF-790291).

A Roman, probable, Polden Hill type brooch (AD c. 80-120): The copper alloy brooch is incomplete, the wings are semi-cylindrical, both of which are missing. Roman pottery fragment; rim sherd of a mortarium bowl with maker's stamp. Unglazed cream buff pottery with traces of a possible light brown wash - probably an example of the wares produced at the Mancetter and Hartshill potteries (Warwickshire/Leicestershire borders) from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. The sherd has a hooked flange and a beaded rim. There is a maker's mark on the rim which possibly reads IVNIVS set within a border of triangles. IVNIVS is a a name identified as working at the Mancetter/Hartshill kilns during the period AD 150-185.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy and enamel zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a fish viewed in profile. The brooch is a flat pointed oval in shape with the tail and fins now broken off and missing. This is decorated with a raised rim and an inner raised circle (there may be further circles in the centre). It may be that the inner circle forms the edge of a bezel (which may have contained a stone). There are traces of gilt in the outer ring.
