At the apex, on the exterior, there is an integral semi-circular attachment loop which is oval in section. A probably Post Medieval copper alloy circular mount with iron shaft, c. 1500-1800. The mount is dicoidal and decorated with double concentric rings on the outer face, with another ring bordering the circumference. There is a fragment missing, which appears to have been broken in antiquity. The mount is largely flat with remains on the reverse of an iron attachment, which projects through the upper surface in the form of a small circiular pellet. It measures 28.0 mm in diameter, 4.6 mm thick and weighs 5.28 g.

In the centre of the T bar, the bow curves forward and narrows to a point. The bow is decorated at the top with two lines or ridges at the top which blend into the sides. At the bottom, there are two horizontal lines. The catchplate extends towards the back from the lower part of the bow. The details of the device are lost to corrosion but it appears to have contained three lions within heater shaped shield with three creatures around. Some traces of green enamel survive. The king's face is triangular with incised facial features; the crown has four circular piercings between the fleurs. The rectangular clasp frame which projects from below the king's head has slightly convex sides which are a shallow D-shape in section and a sub-circular sectioned narrowed strap bar. As a result of old damage the bell has broken through one of those holes in a ragged break extending to each side to the two sound holes on the lower hemisphere.
