An incomplete cast copper-alloy Early Medieval stirrup strap mount of Anglo-Scandinavian attribution, dating from c. 1000-1100 AD. Williams Class B, Type 3, Group 9. The mount is pentagonal and slightly asymmetrical in plan and seems to be a debased form of previous groups from Type 3. The apex is rounded, with a circular rivet hole filled with an iron rivet; at the based are two circular rivet holes, one of which contains a significant amount of iron and iron corrosion from the remaining rivet and the other is missing its rivet entirely.
