An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval single loop buckle with roller, dating to c. AD 1350-1400. The buckle is rectangular in plan and has a sheet metal roller wrapped around the strap bar; the sides are expanded. The buckle is missing its pin. It measures 12.9 mm in length, 12.3 mm wide, 3.1 mm thick and weighs 0.82 g. Cf. Whitehead 2003, p. 27, no. 138.

An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular buckle pin of probable Roman date. It is missing part of the attachment loops, due to old breaks, now worn. It is flat, undecorated and tapers towards the terminal. At the attachment end is the remains of two circular attachment loops. On both faces between the attachment loops is evidence of wear. This buckle pin measures 23.54mm in length, 5.73mm in width, 1.55mm in thickness, 1.19g in weight.

Incomplete cast copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle frame with concave sides on either side of a narrowed and recessed strap bar. The frame consists of one complete loop and uneven breaks from a second loop. The strap bar would have held a pin and a sheet plate, the pin and plate are missing. There is iron corrosion product remains from the roller on the strap bar. The frame has curved outer edges with expanded ends where the pin would rest. Copper alloy buckle. Cast openwork sub-trapezoidal frame with separate steel spindle (lost). Each corner of the frame is formed by an open loop, with a grooved tongue between loops at the ends, a pointed knop at each junction with openwork, and with a rhomboid moulding flanked by stops at either end of the spindle. Slightly curved in profile, probably a shoe or knee buckle. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1660-1720. Length: 32.6mm, Height: 21.8mm, Thickness (at spindle housing): 4.4mm, Weight: 6.21gms.

Complete copper-alloy Post Medieval buckle frame with chape, pin and separate spindle. The frame is of a matt silver-green colour and probably contains significant tin in the alloy. The sub-triangular stud chape and a separately cast copper alloy pin, which is a flat tapered triangle in shape are mounted on a central steel spindle. The frame, which is rectangular in shape is convex from side-to-side in profile with incised decorative grooves along the sides and ends and is also serrated along both outer edges. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single loop buckle frame with integral forked spacer, dating from c. AD 1350 - 1450. The buckle loop is oval in plan and a rounded triangle in section, it has a lipped outer edge to serve as a pin rest and a notched recess at the strap bar and between the arms of the forked spacer for taking the pin. The pin is formed of a tapered copper alloy strip folded around the axis bar with a moulded ridge across the start of the looped section. The oval loop and ends of the forked spacers are broken.
