Incomplete late Victorian copper alloy dress lifter. Dress lifters were used to prevent long dresses from trailing in the mud by hoisting the skirt up. A chain attachment to the item would allow the wearer to lift her skirts up and down without having to bend. This example is in the form of a horseshoe with a screw-thread clamp and is possibly an example of Fyfe's ABC Patent 1876 Horse Shoe Skirt Lifter. Dated c.1870-1900.

Roman pottery fragment; rim sherd of a mortarium bowl with maker's stamp. Unglazed cream buff pottery with traces of a possible light brown wash - probably an example of the wares produced at the Mancetter and Hartshill potteries (Warwickshire/Leicestershire borders) from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. The sherd has a hooked flange and a beaded rim. There is a maker's mark on the rim which possibly reads IVNIVS set within a border of triangles. IVNIVS is a a name identified as working at the Mancetter/Hartshill kilns during the period AD 150-185.

An incomplete copper alloy Medieval (c.1200-1400) horse harness pendant suspension mount. The mount consists of a flat square plate (c.14mm square) with a pierced semi-circular lug above for attachment and a corresponding circular piercing below also for attachment. This lower piercing is flanked by a downward curving sub-circular sectioned arm to either side and a pair of D-sectioned arms between. Medieval copper alloy folding strap clasp frame with decorative outer edge in the form of a king's head, dated 14th century c.1300-1400. The king's face is triangular with incised facial features; the crown has four circular piercings between the fleurs. The rectangular clasp frame which projects from below the king's head has slightly convex sides which are a shallow D-shape in section and a sub-circular sectioned narrowed strap bar. See Egan & Pritchard 1991, 'Dress Accessories', for an identical clasp, p.119-20, fig 78, no.568.

Complete copper-alloy Post Medieval buckle frame with chape, pin and separate spindle. The frame is of a matt silver-green colour and probably contains significant tin in the alloy. The sub-triangular stud chape and a separately cast copper alloy pin, which is a flat tapered triangle in shape are mounted on a central steel spindle. The frame, which is rectangular in shape is convex from side-to-side in profile with incised decorative grooves along the sides and ends and is also serrated along both outer edges. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy and enamel zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a fish viewed in profile. The brooch is a flat pointed oval in shape with the tail and fins now broken off and missing. The front of the brooch carries a recessed design outlining stylized details of a fish such as the eye, gill and scales. Incomplete and heavily worn copper alloy Roman bow brooch of possible Headstud type. The bow and wings of the brooch survive. The wings are cylindrical and the remains of the axis bar for the hinged pin are encased within. There is a slot for the, now missing, hinged pin in the centre of the reverse of the wings. The bow is semi-circular in section. On the arch of the bow is the probable worn headstud decoration. The pin, catchplate & foot are missing. Brooches of headstud type are typically dated AD c.75-200 and this brooch has been dated in line with these dates.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single loop buckle frame with integral forked spacer, dating from c. AD 1350 - 1450. The buckle loop is oval in plan and a rounded triangle in section, it has a lipped outer edge to serve as a pin rest and a notched recess at the strap bar and between the arms of the forked spacer for taking the pin. The pin is formed of a tapered copper alloy strip folded around the axis bar with a moulded ridge across the start of the looped section. The oval loop and ends of the forked spacers are broken. Incomplete copper-alloy button of Medieval to post-Medieval date. The button has a solid pyramid-shaped head with foliate decoration on each face. The shank, which projects from the centre of the reverse is an elongated teardrop shape with a circular piercing for attachment - the loop is broken. Similar style buttons are illustrated on p.25 of Bailey, G. (2004), 'Buttons and Fasteners' and dated to the Tudor period (Late 15th to 16th Centuries), c. 1450-1600, see especially Fig 7.11 and 7.14.

An incomplete copper-alloy button of post-medieval date (17th-century) . The button consists of a flat circular disc, worn around its circumference, with integral attachment loop projecting centrally from its lower surface with a notable casting seam to either side of this. The upper surface of the disc is decorated with an incised ring with central punched dot. Similar examples of this kind of button can be found illustrated in Bailey's 'Buttons and Fasteners', 2004, p.37, see especially figs 8.25 and 8.26.

Lead alloy fragment of a probable Medieval pilgrim badge, secular badge, pendant or similar souvenir type ornament. The fragment is plain and flat on the reverse and the front carries a moulded design of a facade of buildings with spired towers/turrets and arched windows between. The closest parallel to this fragment identified in Brian Spencer's 'Pilgrim Souvenirs and Secular Badges', 1998, is a pendant in the form of a purse which has a facade of buildings above the purse bar.
