An incomplete copper-alloy button of post-medieval date (17th-century) . The button consists of a flat circular disc, worn around its circumference, with integral attachment loop projecting centrally from its lower surface with a notable casting seam to either side of this. The upper surface of the disc is decorated with an incised ring with central punched dot. Similar examples of this kind of button can be found illustrated in Bailey's 'Buttons and Fasteners', 2004, p.37, see especially figs 8.25 and 8.26.

Incomplete copper-alloy button of Medieval to post-Medieval date. The button has a solid pyramid-shaped head with foliate decoration on each face. The shank, which projects from the centre of the reverse is an elongated teardrop shape with a circular piercing for attachment - the loop is broken. Similar style buttons are illustrated on p.25 of Bailey, G. (2004), 'Buttons and Fasteners' and dated to the Tudor period (Late 15th to 16th Centuries), c. 1450-1600, see especially Fig 7.11 and 7.14.

Near complete post-medieval copper alloy buckle. Rounded rectangle frame drilled for separate iron spindle, triangular pin, and separate stud chape. Stamped maker's mark on the reverse of the chape, now very worn, two letters possibly TN, within a rectangle. Buckles of this type are dated c.1650-1750

Complete copper-alloy Post Medieval buckle frame with chape, pin and separate spindle. The frame is of a matt silver-green colour and probably contains significant tin in the alloy. The sub-triangular stud chape and a separately cast copper alloy pin, which is a flat tapered triangle in shape are mounted on a central steel spindle. The frame, which is rectangular in shape is convex from side-to-side in profile with incised decorative grooves along the sides and ends and is also serrated along both outer edges.
