A silver Roman possibly Republican denarius of an uncertain issuer dating to the period 217-27 BC (Reece Period 1). Uncertain reverse type depicting a seated figure left. Uncertain mint. This coin has been 'hammered out' (pers. comm. Sam Moorhead 27/06/2014) and is now broadly triangular in shape.

Cast plate with a rectangular loop behind; the edges of the rectangular plate are deeply indented with four lunate hollows to produce a narrow cruciform figure with the side arm ends bearing deep triangular nicks. The ends of the top and bottom arms are billeted or diagonally hatched. There is a silvery cast to the object which may indicate either high lead or tin content in the alloy or plating. An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval (AD c.1500-1625) hooked clasp, missing its attachment loop, part of its body and the very tip of its hook. Overall, it measures 27.9mm long, 15.3mm wide and 7.5mm thick. It weighs 1.23g. It falls into Read's (2008, Hooked-Clasps & Eyes) Class E single sharp-hooked clasps. The shot is broadly in the shape of an hourglass. There is an incomplete circumferential ridge around the narrowest part of the shot (10.2mm in diameter). Each end is slightly concave, suggesting that this may have been the middle shot from a multi-ball load. The surfaces and edges of the object have been worn and damaged.

The shot is broadly in the shape of an hourglass. The narrowest part of the shot is 12.8mm in diameter. Each end is slightly concave, suggesting that this may have been the middle shot from a multi-ball load. There is a short vertical ridge on one side, which may be a result of the casting process.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy toy in the form of a musket (gun) dating to the mid Post Medieval period (c. 1600-c. 1640). The barrel is rectangular in section and hollow. The barrel widens in width towards the butt, which bends away at approximately 45 degrees. A comma-shaped trigger guard extends from the lower edge at the junction between barrel and butt. The barrel is decorated towards the opening with a pair of lines, and with diagonal lines and pellets at the butt-end. An incomplete, early Roman copper-alloy brooch. The brooch appears to be a varient of a spring dolphin or bow and fantail brooch. The wings are semi-cylindrical and are decorated with a narrow rib at each end. In the centre at the back is an incomplete hook. A comma-shaped bow arches from the wings, and this flares onto a lozenge-shaped panel . The sides of the panel are curved, and terminate with a collared bulbous knop on either side. The rib of the bow continues down the centre of the plate. The foot is missing.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy and enamel zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a fish viewed in profile. The brooch is a flat pointed oval in shape with the tail and fins now broken off and missing. The front of the brooch carries a recessed design outlining stylized details of a fish such as the eye, gill and scales. Incomplete and heavily worn copper alloy Roman bow brooch of possible Headstud type. The bow and wings of the brooch survive. The wings are cylindrical and the remains of the axis bar for the hinged pin are encased within. There is a slot for the, now missing, hinged pin in the centre of the reverse of the wings. The bow is semi-circular in section. On the arch of the bow is the probable worn headstud decoration. The pin, catchplate & foot are missing. Brooches of headstud type are typically dated AD c.75-200 and this brooch has been dated in line with these dates.
