An incomplete copper-alloy bar mount of probable post medieval date (probably AD 1600 - AD 1700). The mount is likely to have been a fitting from either a box or a book. The mount is rectangular in plan, with a circular terminal housing a fleur de lis at one end . The circular terminal tapers into scrolls on either side, which sit atop a double horizontal bar, underneath that there is some carved drapery decoration which surrounds a carved protrusion that resembles a face or skull, to the right of this there is a small circular perforation. A complete copper alloy trade weight of Post Medieval dating (18th Century AD).
The weight is circular in plan. The obverse has a raised ring around the edge as a border. Four stamped marks are present, two however are unclear. The legible ones consist of A sword of St Paul (representing London) and a Ewer representing the London Founder's Company. One of the illegible ones is probably a crowned letter, indicating which monarch it was made under. Filemarks are present on the reverse.
