TREASURE CASE : 2014 T442. Descriptive catalogue: A complete, cast, copper-alloy socketed axe. The mouth is sub-square and has a horizontal moulded collar; the loop is attached to the lower moulding. There are three, vertical moulded, parallel ribs on both faces; they are evenly distributed across the face. The sides splay gradually, and then curve outwards abruptly to form a semi-circular cutting-edge, which is slightly damaged; the blade tips protrude towards the mouth.
