Just over half of a post-medieval copper alloy sub-rectangular shoe buckle frame with the ends of an iron spindle in housings. Unusually the decoration is not moulded. Six deeply punched ring-and-dots cover the centre of the edge. On both rounded corners there are seven V-sectioned radial grooves, and on the sides cross-hatched filed grooves. Estimated length 28mm. Width 23mm. c.1660 - c.1720.

Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an offset, narrowed bar (broken near one end and worn by the missing pin in the centre. On the straight outside edge two knops flank a constriction in which there is a sheet roller. Unusually, this is decorated with oblique engraved grooves. Length 19mm. Width 23mm. Cf. One half of a medieval copper alloy mirror case decorated on the outer face with double lines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangles and forming a "crude, rounded, open cross". A double lug is pierced and retains a rivet or spindle, and the incomplete single one is unpierced. A deposit of white material (calcium carbonate) on the inside around the edge is the cement that would have secured the glass. Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle, an annular frame with a central bar, the remains of an iron pin and an incomplete sheet plate. One half of the frame is broken and distorted. On the other there are two projections on the inside edge (cf. Whitehead 2003, nos. 267-8), one with three transverse grooves. The trapezoidal plate, with a pin slot and two iron rivets, has lost its inside edge. A small piece of decayed leather, now loose, was found within the fold.
