A Middle Bronze Age copper alloy Palstave axehead of Schmidt and Burgess 'unclassified low-flanged palstave' type with broad blade (group III) and without side loop, belonging to the Taunton phase of metalworking and corresponding to Needham's period 5, 1500-1150 BC. The axehead is incomplete and broken into two pieces, with loss due to the break. An incomplete copper-alloy pin of probable Middle Anglo-Saxon date. It is missing the lower half of the shaft due to old breaks. The pin has a biconical head with flattened and slightly faceted median band. At the base of the head is a small collar from which extends the shaft. This is cylindrical in form and terminates in old breaks just below the head. The pin measures 22.69mm in length, 8.24mm in diameter (at the head; 2.05mm at shaft), and weighs 2.30g. Similar pins noted on the PAS database (for example LIN-AB3143, WMID-1E7FA6, or NLM-198FD6) suggest a Middle Saxon date for this …

A Roman Republican silver denarius, probably struck by Sulla in the name of an earlier moneyer, C. Servilius Vatia (see RRC 264), in 82-80 BC (Reece Period 1), Head of Apollo / Two horsemen fighting. Mint of Rome. RRC p. 388, no. 370/2. This coin was struck at around the time that Sulla was dictator in Rome, c. 82-81 BC, by a supporter of Sulla, possibly P. Servilius Isauricus. It is scarce with only around 10 obverse and 11 reverse dies recorded. Die axis approx. 3 o'clock.

Complete copper alloy buckle frame. The frame is asymmetric with an oval loop and a smaller trapezoidal loop for attachment to the strap. The pin is missing and there is a groove around the centre of the strap bar between the two loops where this would have rotated. The frame is roughly flat on both faces with file marks still evident, the trapezoidal loop is sub-square in section whilst the oval loop is more D-shaped in section.
