A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Septimius Severus dating from AD 194 (Reece Period 10), reverse legend FORTVN REDVC, depicting Fortuna or Hilaritas standing, facing left, holding a long palm in the right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Eastern Mint. References: Sear, volume 2, number 6278; RIC IV 383. The coin is 17.5mm in diameter and 2.3mm thick. It weighs 3.21gm.

A cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch, dating from AD 75 - 175. In the centre of the bow is a moulding consisting of a circular collar, flanked above and below by three teardrop shaped knops forming the acanthus decoration, with the rounded end of the teardrops pointing towards the collar. Adjacent to the pointed ends of each set of teardrops are three raised, circular ridges in low relief, two narrow and a broader central ridge, all separated by narrow grooves. An Iron Age coin: a copper alloy core of a plated stater, probably of the Corieltavi Domino type, dating from c. 50 BC - AD 10. It is 16.9mm in diameter and 3.2mm thick. It weighs 4.1gm. The coin has similarities to Van Arsdell, 1989, Celtic Coinage of Britain, page 235, number 829-4 and Rudd,2010, Ancient British Coins, page 93, number ABC 1758, but is not a very close match.
