A Post medieval lead alloy powder measure cap. It is a small circular vessel with a circular base and straight sides, probably dating from the 17th Century. It is somewhat distorted. It was the cap of a powder measure (also known as an apostle since there were twelve on each bandolier) which contained enough gunpowder for a single round. Two scars show where two small loops once projected from the sides at the base; both are now missing. A lead alloy spindle whorl of unknown date, probably Early Medieval to Post Medieval, about AD 850 - 1600. It is Coppergate type B1 (Walton Rogers, 2007, page 25). It is discoidal with a central perforation measuring 9.8mm in diameter. The faces are worn but do not appear to have been decorated. The whorl has a white patina. It is 32.7mm in diameter and 9mm thick. It weighs 59.3g.

A rectangular, copper alloy (brass) coin weight for the French ecu, struck in Antwerp in the sixteenth century. The obverse depicts three fleurs-de-lys in a crowned shield of arms within a circle; the reverse has an upright hand flanked by the manufacturer's initials A I. The weight is 15.2mm long, 13.3mm wide and 2.2mm thick. It weighs 3.1gm. For reference see Withers, 1995, Lions, Ships and Angels, pages 39 and 60.

A very corroded and encrusted iron horseshoe of uncertain date, but possibly Medieval or Post Medieval. The shoe is asymetrical in plan with a pointed U shaped inner arch. The heels are thickened and one appears to have a calkin, a feature less often seen on Modern examples. One nail survives projecting from the hoof side of the shoe. The toe is a little damaged. Two discs from a lead alloy cloth seal, probably an alnage seal dating from the Late Medieval period, 1300 - 1500. One disc shows an open crown above a motif, perhaps a rose or double rose within a beaded circle. Part of a legend, now indecipherable, is visible outside the circle. The other disc appears to be blank. The seal is 25.4mm long, 21.8mm wide and 4.6mm thick. It weighs 7.65gm.

An unusually large copper-alloy hollow button of 17th century date. The button is formed of three parts and resembles a miniature crotal bell with the exception that there is an absence of sound holes joined by a slit in the lower half. The button is sub-spherical in shape. The upper and lower halves of the button are sheet metal hemispheres, soldered together and undecorated.
