Cast copper alloy D shaped single loop buckle frame of probable Medieval date. The frame is sub-oval in cross section and has a bevelled inner edge. The frame exhibits file marks throughout. The overall condition is very good with an even dark green patina. It measures 16.71 mm in length, width is 22.71 mm and the frame is 2.60mm thick. The object weighs 1.79 grammes. Ross Whitehead 'Buckles 1250-1800' has a similar buckle frame on Page 18, No 40. The buckle frame dates from 1250-1450.

A Middle Bronze Age copper alloy Palstave axehead of Schmidt and Burgess 'unclassified low-flanged palstave' type with broad blade (group III) and without side loop, belonging to the Taunton phase of metalworking and corresponding to Needham's period 5, 1500-1150 BC. The axehead is incomplete and broken into two pieces, with loss due to the break. An incomplete copper-alloy pin of probable Middle Anglo-Saxon date. It is missing the lower half of the shaft due to old breaks. The pin has a flattened biconical head that is faceted and decorated with 16 ring and dot motifs. Beneath the head is a small transverse collar, from which extends the cylindrical shaft that bends slightly before terminating in an old break. The pin measures 37.73mm in length, 7.45mm in diameter (at the head; 2.20mm at shaft), and weighs 2.34g. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy crescent type Aesica brooch of first century AD date, possibly AD 50-75. The brooch has a spring-case, half-cylindrical with closed ends. The spring-case has a width of 28.5mm and diameter of 7.0mm. A spring of sixteen coils survives within the spring-case as does the external chord (the chord lays over the top of the spring). It is uncertain whether the chord was held in place by a rear hook or now incomplete lug. An incomplete fired ceramic floor tile, dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The lower face of the object is sandy and uneven. The upper face is flat and smooth. The object has a mid-orange fabric with occasional small inclusions of red and white grog ranging from 1mm to 4mm and ocassional black iron-rich grains. The fragment has been fired evenly. The thickness of this fragment indicates that it is likely to have been used as a floor tile.
