A cast copper-alloy open-topped thimble or sewing ring of probable later Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It has an unthickened rim with incised circumferential groove. Running upwards from the rim are rows of evenly spaced punched oval indentations that terminate with a recessed band at the top of the thimble. It measures 16.28mm in height, 20.99mm in external diameter at the base (slightly flattened), 17.78mm in external diameter at top (slightly flattened), 1.10mm in thickness, and weighs 7.09g.
