A complete copper alloy button of post-medieval date. The button is domed being circular in plan with a convex front and flat reverse with a projecting integral shank. The upper surface of the button is decorated with a radiating cross-hatched design. The metal has a mid green patina and is worn. The button is 10.5mm in diameter, 14.2mm long with shank and weighs 2.9g.

An incomplete and worn post medieval cast lead alloy military button. Most of the circumferential edge is missing. There are remains of an iron attachment on the integral loop. The button bears the numerals 55 within a wreath. Steve Newman reports: This is a button of the 55th Regt of Foot who were at this time the 55th (Westmoreland) Regt of Foot. There is an earlier design which is suggested to be 1780-1800, so this design likely to have come in circa 1800. A complete copper alloy button of post-medieval date. The button is sub-spherical comprised of two hemispheres. The upper hemisphere is decorated with the raised design of a flower around a raised central knop. An integral suspension loop or shank projects centrally from the lower hemisphere. The metal has a dark brownish-green patina and is worn. The button is 17.7mm in diameter, 20.2mm long with shank, and weighs 7.7g.

A complete cast copper-alloy circular button of Post-Medieval date. The head has a convex front face and is undecorated. In the centre of the back face is a separate copper-alloy wire lug. This button measures 11.96mm in diameter, 0.83mm in thickness, 7.76mm in total length (including lug), 1.11g in weight. There is a similar example recorded on the PAS database (KENT-1E88B5).

An unusually large copper-alloy hollow button of 17th century date. The button is formed of three parts and resembles a miniature crotal bell with the exception that there is an absence of sound holes joined by a slit in the lower half. The button is sub-spherical in shape. The upper and lower halves of the button are sheet metal hemispheres, soldered together and undecorated.
