A small cast copper alloy decorative fitting, probably of 16th or 17th century date. The fitting has a short integral rivet for attachment to sheet metal. On both sides of the fitting is decoration in the form of opposed spirals, cast in high relief.

An incomplete and worn post medieval cast lead alloy military button. Most of the circumferential edge is missing. There are remains of an iron attachment on the integral loop. The button bears the numerals 55 within a wreath. Steve Newman reports: This is a button of the 55th Regt of Foot who were at this time the 55th (Westmoreland) Regt of Foot. There is an earlier design which is suggested to be 1780-1800, so this design likely to have come in circa 1800.
