An incomplete copper alloy mace head of medieval date. The object is comprised of a hollow cylinder, uniform in internal diameter, with three circumferential rows of four pyramidal knops or spike projecting from the exterior surface of the upper portion. The knops in the middle row are four sided while the upper and lower knops are three sided. Two of the uppermost knops have been lost to old damage as has a large section of the lower shaft. A complete copper seal matrix of medieval date. The seal is a pointed oval or vessica shape with the remains of an integral lug set on a central rib along the longitudinal axis of the reverse. The front face bears a central motif of a right facing bird with head turned back over its shoulder. The image is surrounded by the legend *CREDE FERENTI meaning 'Believe the bearer'. An incomplete copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single loop circular buckle which is undecorated. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a dark blackish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 15.3mm in diameter, 3.4mm thick and weighs 1.5g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whtiehead p.16 and are dated to circa AD 1250 - 1450.
