A fragment of a Roman 'cable style' bracelet formed of two strands of wire twisted around each other in a spiral. About a third of the bracelet including one terminal remains. One section of wire protrudes to form the hook, and the other wire wraps around it consecutively three times. The longer wire would have thinned and bent over to form a hook. Very similar bracelets has been discovered at Colchester from contexts dated c.320-450 AD (Crummy 1983, 38-39, fig 41, no 1611, 1613 and 1628).
