A cast copper alloy gilded fragment of uncertain date and purpose. The frament is curving; it tapers in the side view and flares out in plan. The back is flat and the decorated side is slightly rounded. The fragment is decorated with two curving lines of punched cruciform shapes, 12 in all. Dating is uncertain but the object probably fits within a wide bracket of c1200-c1650.
