An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy asymmetrical double looped buckle.
The pin is missing.
The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. The smaller loop is rectangular in plan and the larger loop is 'D'-shaped in plan and has a pointed outer edge. The off-centred bar is triangular in cross-section.
This buckle frame is green with traces of a green patina and iron staining.
No direct parallel found. However, compare with published buckle dated c. 1400-c. 1500 (Whitehead 1996: 90, ref: 559).
Length: 29.3mm; width: 26.7mm; thickness: 2.7mm. Weight: 3.47g.
