This corrosion extends from the perforation down the upper half of the bell in a broken oval showing the shape of the loop when it was intact. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age (AD c.10-c.100) La Tène III Nauheim derivative brooch, missing the pin and some of the spring. It has been slightly bent out of shape. Overall it measures 51.95mm in length, 6.95mm in width and 6.85mm in thickness. It weighs 2.93 grams. The brooch has a three or four turn spring (only two turns survive) and a curving bow, which is rectangular in section. It expands from the spring and then tapers in width from 5.8mm to 0.95mm and expands in thickness from 2.2mm to 4.35mm. The front of the bow is decorated with a vertical groove. The brooch ha…

It exhibits a broadly lozengiform striking platform, with a bulb of percussion on the ventral surface featuring a small bulbar scar.
