An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age (AD c.10-c.100) La Tène III Nauheim derivative brooch, missing the pin and some of the spring. It has been slightly bent out of shape. Overall it measures 51.95mm in length, 6.95mm in width and 6.85mm in thickness. It weighs 2.93 grams. The brooch has a three or four turn spring (only two turns survive) and a curving bow, which is rectangular in section. It exhibits a broadly lozengiform striking platform, with a bulb of percussion on the ventral surface featuring a small bulbar scar.
