A complete cast lead object probably a weight or gaming piece of uncertain date.
It is rectangular in form and section. The front and back face are have inlaid decoration consisting of a pair of wavy longitudinal lines that contain what appears to be inlaid iron, some of which is now missing due to old breaks.
This object measures 41.11mm in length, 34.97mm in width, 14.37mm in thickness, 210.54g in weight.
There are similar examples recorded on the PAS database (SF-EB7D11), (LON-6A4983), (NMS-7F64B5), (NMS-05E756). These all suggest a variety of dates, however a later date …

A complete but worn copper alloy cup-shaped trade weight of the post-medieval period. There are no makers' or issuers' marks or stamps visible. There is the remains of a concreted white material within the weight. This is likely to be a single example from a nested set of weights of differing sizes which were used to weigh gold and silver in the form of coin, small objects or scrap metal or other precious materials. Similar weights are illustrated in Biggs p.16 and are dated to the 16th - 18th century.

A Medieval to post-Medieval leg/foot from a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel (c. 1250-c. 1650).
The object is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section.
The front is divided by a prominent horizontal rib which is situated about mid-way along its length. Above and below this rib there is a central vertical rib flanked on either side by a less prominent rib. The rear face is flat and plain and the base of the foot is rounded and worn.

A copper alloy mask of unknown date and function. It is sub-oval in shape and slightly convex. Around the outside of the outer face are radiating grooves, providing the effect of hair and a beard. A small tab extends from one side and a break suggests there would have been a matching one on the other side originally. It is flat and circular in form with moulded decoration on one face. The decoration depicts a crescent moon encompassing a six pointed star.
This token measures 16.64mm in diameter, 2.21mm in thickness, 3.08g in weight.

The obverse has a raised anchor design with a raised pellet either side of the upright, within a raised edging around the circumference.

An unidentified 17th century trade token. Trade tokens were issued between 1648 and 1672 at a time when there was little low denomination coinage being issued by the crown. As a result traders and business proprietors began issuing tokens as an alternate coinage with equivalent denominations of a farthing, half penny or penny. Such trade tokens rarely travel far from their place of issue and provide an insight to the trade of the time. Probable Post Medieval cast lead uniface token. The token carries a design consisting of a triple stranded cross. The reverse is undecorated. The surface is a matte yellow/cream colour. The token measures 18.4mm long, 17.97mm wide, and weighs 2.6g. This is a Powell Type 12.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely. Copper alloy toggle. Cast dumbbell button comprising two unequally sized and elongated spheres linked at a central waist. The re may have been a collar between the spheres, though only a slight groove now remains at the base of one of them. The type is considered of early Roman date, but was also favoured in Late Iron Age East Yorkshire, where versions were made of bone as well as metal. Suggested date: Early Roman, 43-100.

A 16th century cast copper alloy sword belt fitting. The fitting comprises a plate with trefoil terminals and with three integral pendant loops for the attachment of hooked straps. The plate is decorated with foliate motifs as is typical for fittings of this sort. Three iron rivets survive.

An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy strap fitting (belt mount), lozenge-shaped with a single integral attachment spike to the reverse, now missing its tip. The head is entirely covered to the front with moulded pellets (eight around a central pellet). The spike has a square cross-section and the break is relatively recent. A complete trapezoidal copper-alloy strap fitting of Medieval to Post-Medieval date.
It is flat with a convex front face and a circular knop at the base. The upper half of the front face is decorated with two transverse grooves. Above these is a central circular rivet hole still containing the corroded remains of a separate iron rivet.
This strap fitting measures 47.76mm in length, 15.79mm in width, 1.80mm in thickness, 6.64g in weight.

A copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-1400) strap loop with an integral rivet. Overall, it measures 15.4mm long, 16.4mm wide and 3.9mm thick. It weighs 1.85g.
The strap loop has a sub-rectangular frame, which is semi-circular in section on one edge and rectangular in section on the other three. The integral rivet projects outward from the centre of one edge of the frame and is roughly oval in section and measures 3.3mm long, 3.4mm wide and 2.6mm thick.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting or belt decoration dating to the early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. The strap fitting is rectangular in plan and has an integrally cast shank on the reverse that would have secured the fitting to a strap. The face of the strap fitting is decorated with an beast in Salin's Style II, an animal with elongated body and possibly a head turned to look over its back. This strap fitting is likely to date to the 6th century AD.

Copper alloy strap fitting. Cast strap slide comprising an oval-ended plate with three triangular cut outs along its longer edges and with a sub-divided rectangular loop behind. A central longitudinal rib bears a series of vertical cuts. At the back, one end of the plate bears a short square section lug and the other end has the stub of a similar feature; both may originally have extended to define a total of three square loops where one now remains. Suggested date: Roman, 43-410.
