A cast copper-alloy suspension loop or belt hanger dating to the medieval period. A long bar terminates in a heavily stylised zoomorphic head, which has a pronounced snout and deeply-grooved mouth. Behind this head is a panel of cross-hatching. The bar extends vertically downwards into a basal loop (now broken) which is probably the hole through which the belt passed. A copper alloy strap fitting or belt decoration of probable Roman date. The fitting is roughly circular in plan, with the thickness of the corcle narrowing to the outside of the loop and teminating with two expanded collars, possibly imitating some penannular brooches. The appearance of the fitting is of a crescent with rounded and joined points. It is unclear whether there was an opposing, symmetrical half to the mount but there does appear to be a break so it could be possible. On the reverse of the fitting is one integrally cast square sectioned shank, to attach the fitting to the strap.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting or possible buckle plate dating to the Early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. In its current form the strap fitting is broadly sub-rectangular in plan and has moulded Style I decoration, comprising elements of intertwined beasts. There are two or three openwork elements to the fitting. The reverse is flat, plain and undecorated. An object of similar form and decoration is illustrated in West et al. Copper alloy strap fitting. Cast strap slide comprising an oval-ended plate with three triangular cut outs along its longer edges and with a sub-divided rectangular loop behind. A central longitudinal rib bears a series of vertical cuts. At the back, one end of the plate bears a short square section lug and the other end has the stub of a similar feature; both may originally have extended to define a total of three square loops where one now remains. Suggested date: Roman, 43-410. Height: 27.8mm, Length: 15.0mm, Thickness (clear of loop but including rib): 3.1mm, Weight: 5.62gms.

An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting or belt decoration dating to the early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. The strap fitting is rectangular in plan and has an integrally cast shank on the reverse that would have secured the fitting to a strap. The face of the strap fitting is decorated with an beast in Salin's Style II, an animal with elongated body and possibly a head turned to look over its back. This strap fitting is likely to date to the 6th century AD.

A copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-1400) strap loop with an integral rivet. Overall, it measures 15.4mm long, 16.4mm wide and 3.9mm thick. It weighs 1.85g. The strap loop has a sub-rectangular frame, which is semi-circular in section on one edge and rectangular in section on the other three. The integral rivet projects outward from the centre of one edge of the frame and is roughly oval in section and measures 3.3mm long, 3.4mm wide and 2.6mm thick. cf. Read, 2001, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity, 21 and 26, nos 209-212.

A copper-alloy medieval (AD c.1250-1400) pendent loop (strap-fitting) with ornate outer edges and a narrowed and offset bar. Overall, it measures 18.5mm long, 13.1mm wide and 3.4mm thick. It weighs 1.16g. The frame has a single collared knop at the opposite end to the strap bar.

A complete trapezoidal copper-alloy strap fitting of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is flat with a convex front face and a circular knop at the base. The upper half of the front face is decorated with two transverse grooves. Above these is a central circular rivet hole still containing the corroded remains of a separate iron rivet. This strap fitting measures 47.76mm in length, 15.79mm in width, 1.80mm in thickness, 6.64g in weight.

An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy strap fitting (belt mount), lozenge-shaped with a single integral attachment spike to the reverse, now missing its tip. The head is entirely covered to the front with moulded pellets (eight around a central pellet). The spike has a square cross-section and the break is relatively recent. The metal is rather grey in colour suggesting an alloy with tin. A copper-alloy fragment from a sword belt decorative plate of Post-Medieval date. Only the base of the plate survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn. It is a flattened D-shape in section with a flat back face. The front face of the plate is decorated with scrolled foliage decoration. The back face is undecorated. At the base of the plate is a central circular rivet hole, still containing the remains of a corroded separate iron rivet.
