An incomplete copper-alloy curved casket handle of Medieval date. Only one attachment end and part of the handle survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn. It is hexagonal in section. The main body of the handle is curved and the attachment end has been bent outwards to an angle of 90 degrees from the plane of the handle. All surfaces display coarse filing marks from finishing. This mount measures 23.48mm in length, 16.04mm in width, 6.25mm in thickness, 7.30g in weight. There is a similar example from Norwich (Margeson, 1993, pp. 80, no. 484).
